England League One
- good stats in this one. H2H goals scored last 3.5 years are 4-5-7-5-5-5-4

MK Dons home avg 3.11, Carlisle road avg 2.67. Overall both avg over 2.9 gpg and 62% of Carlisle matches have gone over 2.5 and have worst defense of any team in top 14. MKD #2 overall in goals, #2 in home goals and conceded in 6 straight.

should be nice over 2.5 at -125

Champions League
- gotta like Benfica level ball against Chelsea who haven't won away in europe since Feb 2011. Benfica had a bad streatch in Feb but now back to unbeaten in last 5 while Chelsea aren't very convincing. Word is that Drogba is starting and he'd be much more suited to Concacaf Champions League than this one. Benfica unbeaten in 10 home games in Europe including really impressive 1-1 draw vs United where they outshot them 14-4 with 9-4 corners.

Benfica pk -145

I like Benfica as well. Great side at home and Chelsea have been having two plus big games for a few weeks now....and they are an older side. I am taking them for the win at +140.

At initial look tide I agree with you, need to look a little closer at that game. I just got through researching the other one. It is really amazing that Apoel are in this spot. First leg at lyon they were outshot 18-1, second leg vs. Zenit 23-2, the game they won 2-1 vs Porto 23-5. I am seeing a little deja vu with Basel in this match up. Just trying to figure out if they get exposed in this game or the second leg. With the lack of scoring Apoel has shown even domestically, I think Real might be more aggressive here than they were in the last round. Do you think they play tight today?

no, don't think they'll be tight at all as they really don't have a lot of pressure to win this match with a home leg coming. Apoel, as you've pointed out, doing this by smoke and mirrors and Madrid is not Porto, Zenit, or Lyon...they're perhaps the best team in the world. Apoel's typical Euro advantage is the stifling heat but that's not a problem today as it's just 60 degrees. Madrid 10 straight without defeat away in Europe allowing just 5 goals so I don't think you will see a ton of goals but more like 0-1, 1-1, or 0-2

saw a phenomenal stat...Apoel payroll is $13M/yr, CR makes $16M/yr :)

I meant tight more as in tight defensively. I am thinking of taking them -1.5, but I don't want to sit at the 60 minute mark with a 0-0 game knowing there is no way it will come in.

I like this lineup they are throwing out there, the same one from the weekend other than Xabi being out. They have ronaldo, Higuain, and benzema all up front. That would make me think they are going for it today.

Chelsea with a strange lineup today as well. Don't understand why Sturridge is not playing, also Lampard and Cahill on the bench. I definitely like benfica now.

oh, tight as in defensive...yes, i think that's The Special One's M.O when playing away in Europe.

chelsea is going with torres up front and playing both ex-Benfica boys Ramires and Luiz... Cech, Ferreira, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Mata, Kalou, Torres

really strange lineup. looks like time for another new chelsea coach. Kalou? really?

I am on Real and Benfica. I do like the under in real, but basically need a 2-0 score to win both, that seems too difficult to do.

I think benfica was the right side, that's what I hate about soccer more than any other sport, it doesn't go according to play. They are outshooting them 22-12

announcers will have a tough time dislodging chelsea's cock out of their mouths but i thought Benfica were fairly decent...missed some good chances but just didn't happen

at least cook made the 2nd carlisle penalty for the split today

Chelsea were very well organized and had a great tactical plan....something they never seemed to have under AVB. Torres was perfect in his lone wolf role. Benfica probably deserved a draw (Terry's handball was notable missed call...why are those goaline officials even there- I have never seen one of them make a call).

Ya you're so right about those announcers. In the first napoli-chelsea game while the scoreboard was reading 3-1 napoli, the same color commentator as today says this could easily be 6-1 or 7-1 chelsea right now.
